Dear LBS Members,
The annual
charity event of the Lawn Bowls Section of the Club will be held on October 30,
2016 (Sunday) from 12noon to 10pm. The
beneficiary of the charity event this year is the social enterprise 【北河同行】
run by Mr. CM Chan. Mr. Chan, also known
as 深水明哥, offers free
meals from his restaurant to the local elderly and the homeless. His deed has been widely reported by the media. 【北河同行】
is the branch restaurant opened in July this year. It operates in the form of social enterprise
to continue its mission in serving the under-privileged of the community.
The event will be
in four sectors: Invitation Game, Charity Sale, Games Stalls and Charity Dinner
cum Premier League Prize Presentation. You
are cordially invited to join the Organizing Committee of the event, and/or to
be the helpers on the event day. Making donation
in kinds for the Charity Sale is also welcome. We also appeal each Lawn Bowls Section member
for a donation of HK$200. For ease of
administration, we will take the liberty of debiting the sum to your account in
October 2016. Individuals, who would
like to make a contribution in different amount, please give written
instruction to the Lawn Bowls Section Subcommittee on or before October 7, 2016.
